Sustainability

The Company has an ESG Committee, chaired by a Vice President, with the remaining members drawn from the relevant departments across the group. Its responsibilities include:

Approving medium- and long-term sustainability strategy and annual targets.
Approving sustainability implementation programs.
Tracking the medium- and long-term strategy, annual targets and implementation programs, and reviewing their effectiveness.
Approving the standards used to prepare the sustainability report.
Approving other sustainability-related matters.

In its environmental work, the Company gives high priority to energy efficiency and pollution prevention when purchasing equipment. The main production site is now fully covered with solar panels, with a generating capacity of 5.9 MW and actual output of 5.95 million kWh, of which more than 97% is used directly in production. All motor equipment in the plants carries the government's grade-2 energy-efficiency label, and the ISO 50001 energy management system has been adopted. For pollution prevention, electrostatic oil-mist removal equipment keeps exhaust emissions clean and recovers oil mist, providing a good working environment, and reclaimed-water recycling facilities reduce water consumption, effectively saving energy and cutting emissions.

The Company also values ecological balance and social inclusion, and carries these ideas into employees' daily lives: it promotes plant-based, low-carbon eating with a vegetarian staff lunch every Monday, so employees experience caring for the environment starting from daily life, and holds occasional events promoting resource reuse. On the social side, the Company works with local charities to provide manpower and financial help to families in need, giving back to the local community, and each year the Company and its employees organize community activities around different themes. During the three years of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Company took the initiative in donating supplies to the organizations that needed them.

Going forward, the Company will draw its departments together to develop comprehensive business and corporate-governance strategies, committed to sustainable operations as a benchmark for its industry.
